And a single shifting alliance could push an entire kingdom to the edge of war—long before a warrior ever stepped onto the battlefield.

History remembers the battles. It celebrates the victories, mourns the defeats, and records the names of kings and conquerors.

But it often forgets where those battles truly began.

Many wars were born in silence—inside palace walls, in private conversations, hidden ambitions, broken loyalties, and carefully guarded secrets. The fate of kingdoms was often decided long before swords were drawn.

That hidden world of royal politics, loyalty, betrayal, and sacrifice is what inspired my upcoming historical novel.
